In the second half, we don't see as much in the way of standout tracks, although we do find "Confessions" which very nearly rivals the title track as the best of the album, the main riff in this one being simple yet highly effective and never fails to get my head banging.

Charts Top of Top Since joining inEyefear have grown in stature, most notably in the vocal department. From what I have seen it requires a certain type of character to enjoy music of this nature and a certain personality in order to get swept up in the verbose song structures. The first half of the album is unsewn the best part, with the majority of the standout songs. I was left feeling slightly disappointed by the bass and confused in regards to the vocals.

I'd planned on reviewing this when I first started writing for The Metal Crypt, but I put it off in favor of some promos and then I kind of forgot about it. This record is a massive achievement for them, symbolising the leaps and bounds that the band has come on tue since their arrival on to the scene, over a decade ago.

To me, the definition of progressive metal in its most basic form was complicated textures, overblown instrumentation, particularly in relation to the guitars and their individual development which would render the other elements of the eyefsar redundant and a fair amount uneeen showboating. All content copyright Metal Obsession etc etc etc. Songs like this offer a contrast to the other songs present on the record.

Sometimes the voice of the singer reminds me of Communic's singer Oddleif Stensland
